Donations

Donations and volunteers are the key to the future success and on-going operation of VHAT Therapeutic Riding. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, VHAT receives no government funds and relies on grants, fundraising events, individual and corporate donations, and a sliding scale tuition to meet its operating budget.

Can you help us by offering your time, money or expertise? Can you help us coordinate volunteers? Write a grant proposal? Distribute brochures? Find us suitable horses for the program? Can you guide us in building a strong organization, offer us names of other potential donors, and tell us (gently) when you think we are off-base?

VHAT Wish List

• A part-time licensed physical therapist. $25,000/yr.
• A leveling machine called a T-3000 (have to check ## on this) for the arena: $3,500
• A part-time paid executive director to help raise money: $15,000/yr.
• A gentle and accomplished equine schoolmaster: (priceless)
• Sponsorships for our beloved special-needs school horses: $350/mo.
• Someone to repair our cavalletti and rebuild our cross country course this spring
• Volunteers to help us bring in the hay this summer
• Volunteers to help as sidewalkers, leaders, and office staff
• A handyman to renovate our "quaint" tack room
• More fill for the outdoor arena: $1500
