VHAT Scholarship Fund Information

Each year, the Board of Directors of Vermont Horse-Assisted Therapy, Inc., raises money for its scholarship program in order to assist students with mental, physical, social, emotional or economic challenges in paying for lessons, clinics or summer camp experiences. VHAT gets many requests and usually offers partial scholarships, which require some kind of sliding-scale contribution from the family or another source.
Camp scholarships are decided at the group's May meeting, but funding can be applied for year-round. To apply, please send in:

  1. A copy of your most recent 1040 U.S. tax return
  2. A short letter from the student indicating why she/he wants a scholarship and what she/he would like to get out of her riding experience
  3. A letter from the parents or guardian stating why they want a scholarship and what they think their child will get out of the riding experience.
Letters should be addressed to: VHAT Board of Directors, 307 Culver Hill Rd., Middlesex, VT 05602
