VHAT Services

Therapeutic riding: VHAT offers therapeutic riding to students of all ages and abilities at Pease Farm Stable. Private 50-minute sessions are individually designed to meet the needs of each client after consultation with educators, parents, and medical personnel. Volunteers are available for students who need extra help. For more information about the therapeutic riding program contact info@VHAT.org.

Other Services

• Boarding: Spacious pastures in summer with on-demand water; paddocks and stalls or run-ins for winter.
• Training: For horses of all ages and stages of training: English and Western pleasure, Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, Eventing, recreational riding.

• Clinics: Level 3 Centered Riding instructor Sarah Seidman has taught clinics for children, teenagers and adults throughout Vermont. Clinics offer a fun and educational way for students to learn about the techniques and concepts of Centered Riding. Sarah also hosts two-day clinics for adults in May and September at, Pease Farm Stable, in Middlesex, Vt. Clinics combine groundwork and body awareness exercises with mounted lessons for each participant on her/his own horse or Pease Farm Stable’s well-trained quiet school horses.
• Camps: Pease Farm offers three week-long day camps each summer and one week-long "sleepover" camp for teenagers. Campers have a daily mounted lesson and also work with horses on the longeline and in the round pen; in addition, we swim in local streams, ride trails, have a cookout in the woods, and do horse-related art projects. Please call for dates and availability.
• VHAT Scholarships: VHAT actively raises funds to award scholarships to students both for camp and lesson programs. To help sponsor a student for a scholarship, please use our donate page.

• Sarah Seidman, Level 3 Centered Riding instructor. NARHA certified instructor.
• Susan Mitchell, Level 1 Centered Riding instructor. NARHA certified instructor.
• Dressage specialist Lila Bennett comes to us from the Florida barn of Olympic rider Michael Poulin.
• Hunter/jumper instructor Christina Rohan has trained with George Morris, taught at Marlboro Equestrian Center in Marlboro, MA, and was head trainer at Fox Horn Farm in Charlotte, VT
